Alaska State Fair
Every year, Alaska has it's State Fair event in Palmer (about an hour drive from Anchorage). Every year people come from all around Alaska to view the exceptionally large fruits and vegetables that are grown in the vally. Other activities include the State Fair rides and games and of course all the shops you can visit. In 2009 the record for the largest cabbage was set at 127 pounds.
