Hiking Rendezvous Peak
One of my favorite hikes to do in the Anchorage area is Rendezvous Peak. One of the many highlights of this great Alaskan hike is how close it is to Anchorage, so often when we feel like doing a quick 4 mile hike, Rendezvous Peak is often at the top of our list.
This is a hike going right up the mountain, but has solid footing that is relatively easy to climb. Of course my favorite thing about the Rendezvous Peak hike is the gorgeous view of Alaska no matter what time of year you climb it.
How to get there
Take the Glenn Highway and exit two miles past Muldoon Road to Arctic Valley. Pass the golf course on the right and follow windy road to Alpenglow Ski Area. At the parking spot you'll have to pay a fee before you hike on up the mountain.
