Juneau, Alaska
I lived in Juneau for almost a year and enjoyed my experience of living in such a wonderful city. Juneau is the third largest city of Alaska and also is Alaska's capital city. It is a relatively small city of about 30,000 people. My favorite thing about Juneau is the beautiful view you have all around you. Located right next to Gastineau Channel, almost everywhere you walk, you have a tremendous view of the ocean, a sight I never got tired of. On the other side you have the Mount Roberts, a gorgeous green mountain that you can go up by hike or by tram. Juneau is not accessible by road. Access to the continental highways is provided by ferry south to Washington state or north to Haines or Skagway.
A lady waits to cross the street near downtown Juneau. Juneau is a popular spot for the many cruise ships the come by.
